We had an amazing stay at Bay Eco Lodge in Boca Chica. The hosts, Erika and Herbie, were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. The view over Boca Chica bay was breathtaking and we loved spotting all the beautiful birds in the area. The swimming pool was clean and the perfect temperature, and the hammocks provided a cozy spot to relax. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The breakfast prepared by Herbie was delicious and made with love. We also enjoyed the island-hopping day trip they helped us arrange. our experience at Bay Eco Lodge was perfect in every way.
The hike back to the hotel from town was a bit steep, but it was worth it for the amazing views.

The hotel did not live up to its "ECO" name. the accommodations were more comfortable than expected, lacking the rustic charm that we were hoping for.

The view from the hotel was absolutely breathtaking, with a stunning ocean view and the sounds of birds and monkeys in the background. The rooms were clean, well-equipped and had direct access to the pool, which was amazing. The breakfast prepared by Herbie was delicious, with a variety of fresh fruits, omelettes, and coffee. The location of the hotel, although up on a hill, provided the perfect combination of tranquility and natural beauty.
One thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was the lack of kitchen facilities and the limited dining options in the nearby town. It would have been nice to have the option to cook our own meals or have more restaurant choices within walking distance.
